The Library will be providing $2000 grants to faculty who are interested in working with librarians to integrate information literacy into teaching. Information literacy, in the library world, is defined as "the set of integrated abilities encompassing the reflective discovery of information, the understanding of how information is produced and valued, and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning” ["Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education,” Association of College and Research Libraries]. At this workshop, we will discuss ideas for designing assignments which increase student information literacy in meaningful ways. Faculty members who have participated in the Library's Information Literacy Grant Program will share their experiences from the grant program.

Lunch will be provided.
