Navigating the News: Finding Firm Ground on the Sea of Misinformation In-Person

Looking to check up on the news story and photo Uncle Mitch posted on Facebook?  Not sure if your favorite website is giving you the real story?  Librarians can help!  In this session, we'll discuss the pervasive nature of fake news, from pictures of tigers nursing piglets to political reporting of all persuasions, how to confirm the things you read and pictures you see, and ways minimize the spread of misinformation in an increasingly clickbaity world.
