Data Management Plan Writing In-Person

There are several reasons you might need to write a Data Management Plan.  Brandeis's IRB requires one as part of its application process, and federally funded grants and most other funding agencies require them as part of a grant application.  Even submitting your research to some subject repositories such as ICPSR or the NIH databases at the end of your research will be easier if you have an understanding of how to secure, store, and manage your data, all of which is helped by having a Plan.

In this workshop we will cover the information that is expected in a Data Management Plan, introduce you to the Data Management Plan Tool, and see some examples of Plans written by other researchers.  If time allows we may discuss attendees' research and specific goals in writing a Data Management Plan.
