Learning Design Consultations

If you are interested in exploring strategies for improving student engagement and learning in your virtual or hybrid course, the Learning Design Team can collaborate with you to accomplish your learning goals. We offer collaborative consultations on your teaching and learning challenges using design approaches.

Topics available for consultation include:

  • Designing online, blended, or technology-integrated courses or learning activities
  • Trouble-shooting remote teaching and learning challenges
  • Transforming face-to-face learning to online or blended modes
  • Defining measurable (aka SMART) learning goals and objectives for your courses and students
  • Accessing customized professional development for integrating online learning into your teaching

Booking Your Consultation

Consultations are short because they are just the start of our partnership. In this initial meeting, we will discuss the details of your teaching or learning challenge and determine the best structure for working together.

Before scheduling a consultation, please gather any and all materials relevant to your challenge. On the next page, please provide a brief (2-4 sentence) overview of your teaching and/or learning challenge. You may also upload any documents that are relevant to the challenge, e.g., syllabi, activity plans. This will facilitate a productive consultation.

Instructional Technology Support

Are you looking for support with:

  • using the student-centered accessible course shell,
  • learning how to use academic technologies (e.g., VoiceThread, Perusall, LATTE assignments),
  • or incorporating a software product within a course (e.g., STATA, SPSS, ArcGIS)?

Unfortunately that can't be booked through this page. Instead, email library@brandeis.edu for support within one business day or schedule an appointment with an Instructional Technologist.
