Revolutionize your Research for Today's Digital World

Revolutionize your Research for Today's Digital World In-Person / Online

You may have heard about Digital Scholarship, Digital Humanities, or Digital Social Sciences. All of these terms are generally about the same thing: pushing the boundaries of what types of information can or should be presented in a digital space. Digital Scholarship (and all its entities) uses digital technology to manage, analyze, and/or present a research project in dynamic, innovative ways.

Come learn about a wide array of technologies and techniques that can be integrated into your research project. This overview workshop will provide you with core vocabularies and foundational knowledge about data management, text analysis, spatial analysis and mapping, as well as different digital presentation and public outreach methods. We won't be learning any of these methods hands-on, but you will discover new interests and pathways for your own projects. After this workshop, you'll know what "counts" as Digital Scholarship and how to get started -- what workshops to take, which tutorials to try, how long a project might take, and how to effectively integrate one or more approaches into your current research plan. This workshop is designed for a wide array of audiences (Humanities, Social Sciences, or STEM) and experience levels.
