Sewing Machine Basics

Sewing Machine Basics In-Person

[IN PERSON] This intro to sewing will teach you how to operate a sewing machine and learn how it works.

We will start with a Powerpoint to look at the mechanism inside a sewing machine and some general advice, such as which fabrics and stitches to use. We then move onto the hands on part, where set up the machine, select stitches, and sew fabric.

No prior experience is necessary!

The training takes place in person at the Brandeis MakerLab, located above Starbucks in the Library's Farber Building.
