Intro to Vinyl Cutting & 2D Graphics

Intro to Vinyl Cutting & 2D Graphics In-Person

[IN PERSON] This intro to vinyl cutting will start your journey in 2D graphic design and digital fabrication. You will learn how to operate our US Cutter Titan 3 vinyl cutter safely and effectively to make simple 2D stickers / decals. We will use industry standard Vinyl Master software.

We will start with a Powerpoint to look at some use cases, safety orientation, and basic graphic design theory. Then we will move on to the hands on part, where we download or design a simple 2D graphic, cut it on the vinyl cutter, and learn to weed (remove negative space) and apply your decal.

No prior experience necessary. Basic familiarity with a computer only.

The training takes place in person at the Brandeis MakerLab, located above Starbucks in the Library's Farber Building.
