Intro to Sewing In-Person

[IN PERSON] This intro to sewing will teach you how to operate a sewing machine and learn how it works.

We will start with a Powerpoint to look at the mechanism inside a sewing machine and some general advice, such as which fabrics and stitches to use. We then move onto the hands on part, where we do straight stitches, learn to turn a corner, learn to move the fabric while stitching, and learn a French stitch.

No prior experience is necessary!

The training takes place in person at the Brandeis MakerLab, located above Starbucks in the Library's Farber Building.
