Intro to Sewing In-Person

[IN PERSON] This intro to sewing will teach you how to operate a sewing machine and learn how it works.

We will start with a Powerpoint to look at the mechanism inside a sewing machine and some general advice, such as which fabrics and stitches to use. We then move onto the hands on part, where we do straight stitches, learn to turn a corner, learn to move the fabric while stitching, and learn how to stitch two fabrics together.

No prior experience is necessary!

The training takes place in person at the Brandeis MakerLab, located above Starbucks in the Library's Farber Building.
