Graduate Presentations and the Writing Process In-Person / Online

This graduate workshop will focus on best practices and tips for presenting your research in a variety of settings, including conferences, talks, and seminars. We will discuss how to adapt longer research, such as seminar papers and dissertation/thesis chapters, into shorter presentations that create engaging connections with different audiences. We will also talk about various ways of incorporating presentations into the writing process, including using them as starting or end points of the research process, ways to obtain feedback, and prompts for rethinking long-term research projects. This workshop is intended for graduate students at any stage of their program, and most recommended for graduate students who will be presenting at conferences and other venues.
