Getting Started with Moodle: An Introduction Online

Are you new to Moodle? Would you like a simple and clear way to get started? Join us for this beginner-friendly workshop. We will show you the basics of using Moodle so you can feel more comfortable and confident with your course.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Find your way around the Moodle dashboard and course page
  • Add materials like files, links, and videos
  • Create assignments and discussion forums for your students
  • Send announcements and messages to your class
  • Set up your course and track student activity

This workshop is a great starting point whether you are teaching fully online, in-person, or a mix of both. You will see live examples, get useful tips, and have time to ask questions.

Who should attend: Instructors, teaching assistants, or staff who are new to Moodle or want a quick review of the basics.

No previous experience with Moodle is needed. Everyone is welcome!
