Library Book Talk Series - A Conversation with Sabine von Mering In-Person / Online
All are welcome to attend the next in the Brandeis Library’s Book Talk Series, this time featuring Sabine von Mering, lead editor of the new book The Routledge Handbook of Grassroots Climate Activism (2025), for a talk about this introduction to contemporary forms of grassroots climate activism from around the world through the lenses of a variety of academic disciplines, methodologies, and perspectives.
Authors from six continents focus on bottom-up case studies, showcasing innovative and creative approaches, as well as the knowledge of those working towards swift decarbonisation, just transitions, and climate justice, uniting anthropologists, sociologists, geographers, political scientists and scholars in the humanities and the creative arts, as well as practitioners on the ground.
This event provides a platform for Brandeis authors to showcase their recent book publications, to engage with the community, share insights from their work, and discuss its impact.
We hope to see you there, Wednesday, October 29, 2025, in the Gardner Jackson room, or over Zoom (Click here for Zoom link)!
If you're interested in participating in a future book talk, please reach out to Matthew Sheehy, University Librarian. We look forward to celebrating and amplifying the work of our faculty authors!
