AI for Rubric Design: A Hands-On Workshop In-Person
When designing assignments or exams, it’s helpful to create a grading rubric that clarifies how students might meet, exceed, or fall short of expectations. Rubrics help students (and, in large courses, TAs and teaching teams) understand what defines a satisfactory submission and how varying levels of proficiency align with feedback and grades.
If building detailed rubrics feels daunting, join the Center for Teaching and Learning and the University Writing Program for a workshop on using AI responsibly to simplify rubric design and enhance the grading experience—just in time for final projects and exams.
