Intro to Soldering In-Person

[IN PERSON] In this workshop, you will learn the basics of soldering.

We will start with a short briefing to cover use cases, good technique, and the dangers of soldering---hot irons, fume ventilation, and why we use lead-free solder. Then we will move on to the hands-on part, where you tin your iron, practice clean through-hole joints, and assemble a small starter kit you'll take with you.

The training takes place in person in the engineering classroom, Ableson 401, on the 4th floor of the physics building.
