Introduction to Remote Sensing In-Person
This workshop will introduce members of the Brandeis community to the basics of remote sensing. From climate change monitoring to emergency response and urban planning, the applications of in Geographic Information Systems are many.
Participants will see a demonstration of the power of remote sensing for real-time decision-making, and have the opportunity to explore online repositories of remote-sensing data.
This workshop is intended for intermediate GIS users from any campus audience (undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff). Beginner users may still benefit from the introduction to remote sensing concepts, however the basics of interacting with remote sensing data in GIS (e.g., file management in ArcGIS Pro) will not be covered in this workshop.
