Getting Started on your Thesis or Dissertation Online

This workshop offers helpful guidance for getting started on large or long-term research writing projects, such as senior honors and Master’s theses, graduate-level term papers, and dissertations. Topics covered will include establishing your research focus and your keywords in the critical conversation; finding subject-specific databases; narrowing and mapping your argument; and keeping your notes and resources organized with citation managers.

Co-taught by the Brandeis Library and Writing Center

Best for: early stage PhD students, Masters students, and undergraduate seniors working on a thesis
